European Solidarity Corps Youth Card

Are you going abroad as a European Solidarity Corps participant? Read on!

First of all, thank you for enrolling in the ESC programme! We're sure you'll have a wonderful time, and we're happy to help you make the most of it.

You should receive an email with your ESC European Youth Card soon after starting your service. Once your participation has been approved, you will receive all the information to retrieve your digital card through the Mobility Tool+ platform of the European Commission. In this email, you will find your EYCA number and the links to download the phone apps developed exclusively for ESC participants.

Your card will be valid for 18 months (from the moment you receive it) and can be used both at home and when travelling. Discover all the discounts available across Europe.

This is nothing but a small thank you from our side to all young people that contribute every day to a better society and a more united Europe through volunteering.

EYCA is committed to the sustainable use of the European Youth Card

As part of EYCA's efforts to advance sustainability and our goal to reduce our plastic footprint, we have created an exclusive app that includes the digital card and allows you to see the discounts around you during your trip. The digital card replaces the traditional plastic card.

As of 2020, all special editions of the European Youth Card are issued in digital format. If you don't have a smartphone, don't worry; send us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and we will review your case.

You haven't received the Card yet?

If you’ve already started your volunteering but have not yet received your European Volunteer Card, here’s what you can do.

All cards for ESC participants that started their voluntary project in 2022 have been delivered! In case you have not received yours, this is due to the fact that your organisation did not register you in the European Commission's webtool. Please, get in touch with your organisation and make sure that you are correctly registered.

If you started your voluntary project in 2023, a little patience is needed. We are finalising our agreement with the European Commission and hope to send the digital cards to all eligible ESC participants soon!
